Checking tires and tread condition

During an official vehicle inspection, we are required to check tire condition and tread depth. This is a basic part of the official inspection process. We measure tread depth, inspect tires for damage, and evaluate wear patterns. Tire tread is designed to channel water and debris away from the contact patch so the vehicle can maintain traction on the road. These requirements may seem strict at first, but they are directly related to driving safety, which is why a licensed inspection facility must perform this check and cannot ignore it.
